Json parsing with RecycleView using volley in Android

Posted on November 24, 2021November 24, 2021 By christo No Comments on Json parsing with RecycleView using volley in Android

Full source code to build a RecyclerView and fill it with JSON data. We will use Volley to get the JSON response from a REST API and Picasso to load and display the images in our RecyclerView

activity_main.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    tools:context="tech.codingpoint.recylerviewjsonexample.MainActivity">

    <android.support.v7.widget.RecyclerView
        android:id="@+id/recycler_view"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="match_parent"
        android:background="@android:color/darker_gray" />

</RelativeLayout>

AndroidManifest.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
